One of our favorite moments: learning the stomp dance as a family. First we watched, then we joined in, feet moving in rhythm with the vibrant music, laughter rising like bubbles in a sparkling stream, each giggle intertwining with the joyous atmosphere.

As Elijah held the soft plush in his hands, I could feel the weight of the stories and the spirit of resilience carried through generations, inspiring me to embrace the same tenacity as we face our own challenges in life.
Elijah held him like he’d been waiting for him his whole life. Now? He doesn’t do anything without Ofi’ Tohbi. He’s officially part of our travel crew.
From there, we drove through Chickasaw National Recreation Area, winding past deer, streams, and waterfalls spilling over rock like nature’s own ceremony. Peaceful, grounding, and exactly the kind of ending the day deserved.

Before heading home, we took a detour into Arbuckle Wilderness Park, a drive‑through animal safari that absolutely requires a truck or SUV.
Let me repeat that: this is not meant for a van.
The animals know no boundaries, and the roads demand clearance, confidence, and a vehicle that can take a little personality from a zebra or a very opinionated ostrich. But wow, it was wild, unpredictable, and unforgettable.

After surviving the safari (and the ostrich with main‑character energy), we made a very necessary stop at Arbuckle Fried Pies. Warm, flaky, perfect the kind of comfort food that feels like a hug after being eyeballed by a buffalo.
